Parent questions

What age is it for?

If your kid can say an idea out loud, they can run it. One big button and their voice: no menus, no typing, nothing to read. Grown ups steal it too, for lunchbox notes and gift tags.

Is it safe for kids?

The sticker paper is BPA free, confirmed with our manufacturer, and there's no ink to spill. The only screen is the small one on the front that shows what they asked for and the drawing. No videos, no games, no scrolling.

Do I need to buy anything else?

Every Printpal comes with 3 rolls of sticker paper plus 5 FREE bonus rolls (about 400 stickers), a charger and a manual, and it's rechargeable, so no batteries. Markers are not included: any washable markers from home work, or add the Marker Kit in your cart.

When will it arrive?

We pack your order in 1 to 3 business days. Then it's 5 to 8 business days in the US and 7 to 15 business days internationally, with free tracked shipping and a tracking number by email.

Why does it print in black and white?

That's the point. The AI draws the lines and your child makes it theirs with markers, so every sticker turns into a little art project they're proud of. Markers are not included: use any washable markers from home, or add the Marker Kit in your cart.

Is the paper safe? Does it need ink?

How it works

Press. Say it. AI draws it. It prints.

So easy your 5 year old runs the whole thing without you.

Press, say it, AI draws it, print it
1

Press

They hold one big button. No menus, no typing, nothing to read.

2

Say it

"A unicorn eating spaghetti." "Me and Grandpa fishing on the moon." Anything they can imagine.

3

AI draws it

The AI turns their words into a drawing, and the little screen shows what they asked for and the picture it made.

4

Print it

Seconds later a real black outline sticker comes out, ready to color, peel and stick.

A girl amazed as the sticker she asked for prints
The magic moment

Then the best part starts.

Markers come out. The tongue sticks out in concentration. The sticker ends up on the fridge, the notebook or Grandpa's forehead.

Then they make ten more. Every sticker is something they invented, so they actually care about coloring it. That's minutes of hands-on creating that started with a few seconds of printing.

The prompt ladder

Watch their prompts grow up.

Every sticker teaches them that the more clearly they describe it, the better the AI gets it. The kids who learn that now will be fluent later.

A girl describing her idea out loud to Printpal "A cat astronaut eating pizza on the moon!"
The skill of their generation

Your kid will talk to AI every day of their life. Printpal makes the first conversation a game.

To get the sticker they want, they have to describe it: what it is, what it's doing, what it's wearing.

A vague idea gets a vague sticker. A clear idea gets exactly the dragon in their head. Nobody calls it practice. They just want a better sticker, so they get better at explaining. That's prompting, and they'll be doing it at 5.

Last week she asked for a cat. Today she asks for a cat astronaut eating pizza on the moon, wearing red boots.

That is prompting, and she just taught herself.

FAQ

Questions parents ask

What comes in the box?

Every Printpal comes with 3 rolls of BPA free sticker paper, a charger and a user manual, plus 5 FREE bonus rolls (8 rolls, about 400 stickers). The 2 pack has 6 rolls in the box + 10 FREE bonus rolls (16 rolls, about 800 stickers), and the 4 pack has 12 rolls in the box + 20 FREE bonus rolls (32 rolls, about 1,600 stickers). Each roll makes about 50 stickers. Markers are not included: any washable markers from home work, or add the Marker Kit in your cart.

How does the AI part work?

Your child holds the button and describes an idea out loud. The AI turns their words into a drawing, the little screen shows what they asked for and the picture it made, and Printpal prints it as a black and white sticker to color in.

What does my kid actually learn?

How to tell AI exactly what they want. A vague idea gets a vague sticker, a clear idea gets exactly the dragon in their head. So they start adding details on their own: the color, the hat, what it's doing. That's prompting, and they learn it by playing.

Can my child use it alone?

That's how it's designed: one big button and their voice. No menus, no typing, nothing to read. They run it, you cook.

Wait, does it have a screen?

Only a small one on the front that shows what they asked for and the drawing it's about to print. No tablet, no videos, no games, no scrolling.

Does it need ink?

Never. It prints with heat on thermal paper, so you never buy or change a cartridge.

Is the paper safe?

Yes. The sticker paper is BPA free, confirmed with our manufacturer.

Why black and white?

That's the point. The AI draws the lines and your child colors them in, so every sticker becomes their own art project. Markers are not included: any washable markers work, or add the Marker Kit in your cart.

Do I have to buy batteries?

No. Printpal is rechargeable and the charger comes in the box.

How do I get more paper?

Every Printpal comes with 3 rolls plus 5 FREE bonus rolls, so 8 rolls (about 400 stickers) per Printpal. Each roll makes about 50 stickers. Refills come in packs of 5 rolls (about 250 stickers) and 10 rolls (about 500 stickers), and you can add them in your cart.

Why buy the 2 pack?

Siblings don't have to take turns, or one Printpal lives at Grandma's so every visit starts with a new sticker. Each Printpal in the 2 pack costs less than a single one, and you get 16 rolls total (about 800 stickers): 6 in the box + 10 FREE bonus rolls.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is free and tracked on every pack, to 24 countries. You'll get a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships.

What if my kid doesn't love it?

You're covered by the 90-Day Happy Kid Guarantee. If it doesn't work out, email us and we refund every cent. You keep the Printpal, no return needed. See the refund policy.

He colored the raccoon before I finished the dishes

Leo pressed the button and said "raccoon in sunglasses doing laundry, scared of dryer" and laughed so hard he snorted. Thirty seconds later the sticker was in his hand and he was reaching for the purple marker. I dried the last pan and he had not looked up once. No ink to buy, and setup in the app took me about 2 minutes. It came with 3 rolls, so we were printing the same night.

She checks our fridge every single morning

Ellie asked for "me and mommy as astronauts holding hands" and I honestly teared up when it came out. She colored my helmet and hers, then made me stick it on the fridge at her eye level so she can see it at breakfast. Six weeks later she still points at it while she eats her cereal. The paper is BPA free, which was the first thing I checked before letting her handle it all day.

My six year old figured out prompting on his own

First week Owen just said "a monster." Plain monster, plain sticker. By day four he was saying "a monster with three eyes eating tacos" because he worked out that the more he describes, the better it gets. That is the exact skill I use with AI at work every day, and he learned it at the kitchen table. Now every sticker gets colored in with the green marker before he even asks for the next one.

Nana's house is the fun house now

My grandson used to count the minutes until his mom picked him up. Now he runs straight to my kitchen table and says "fluffy dog with goggles in sidecar on moon" before his coat is even off. We colored together for an hour and a half last Sunday. I bought the 2 pack so there is one at my house and one at his, and with the bonus that came to 16 rolls. Free shipping, tracked the whole way to my door.

Bedtime finally has a finish line

Our new rule is one sticker, color it, then bed. Finn makes his request, colors it at the table, and walks it to his room himself. Last night it was the raccoon in sunglasses, now with purple glasses, and it had to go on his headboard. No negotiating, no five more minutes. He falls asleep planning what he is going to ask for tomorrow.

Ten quiet minutes turned into an hour together

Mia is five and never sits still, so I figured she would lose interest by day two. She asked for "me and mommy as astronauts holding hands" and then pulled me into a chair to color the moon with her. We do it every day after school now. She is learning to describe exactly what is in her head out loud, and to her it is just a game.

Tonight

Tonight can end two ways.

One: another "I'm bored, what can I do?" while you try to get dinner on the table.

Two: they press a button, say something ridiculous and laugh at the sticker the AI just drew for them. Then they color it at the counter while you finally cook in peace.

Same kid, same evening. The only difference is what's sitting on the table.

Their next big idea is seconds away.
